What we use, why we use it, and how to turn it off. The full picture, in plain words.

EFFECTIVE — 1 JANUARY 2026 · LAST UPDATED — 1 JANUARY 2026 · EU, EEA & UK

Your trust and privacy matter to us. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies Syncro uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Cookies are used when you access the Syncro mobile application (including the desktop version) (the "App") or our website at syncro.me (the "Website").

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via:

  • In the App — Settings › Security & Privacy › Privacy Settings
  • On the Website — the "Manage Cookies" panel linked at the bottom of every page
Legal basis

We place strictly necessary cookies without your consent, as they are required for the App and Website to function. All other cookies (analytics, social media, advertising and performance) are placed only with your prior, freely given, specific and informed consent, in accordance with Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive) as implemented in Polish law (Prawo telekomunikacyjne), and the GDPR.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website or app. It stores a unique identifier and other information that allows the service to recognise your device on future visits. Cookies help us keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and improve your experience.

We also use similar technologies that serve the same or related purposes:

  • Web beacons (pixels) — small image files embedded in pages or emails that tell us when content has been accessed or an email has been opened.
  • Tracking URLs — unique links that help us understand where visitors come from and how they navigate to the App or Website.
  • Software Development Kits (SDKs) — small pieces of code embedded in the App that function similarly to cookies and web beacons.

Throughout this Policy, we refer to all of these technologies collectively as "cookies".

2. Types of cookies we use

We group cookies into five categories, described in the table below.

Category
Purpose
Consent required?
Strictly necessary
Essential for the App and Website to function correctly. They enable core features such as logging in, maintaining your session, setting privacy preferences, making payments, uploading photos, and communicating with other users. They also help us protect users from spam, fraud and unauthorised access.
No — placed automatically, technically necessary for the service.
Analytics
Allow us to measure how visitors use the App and Website — for example, which pages are visited most often, how long users stay, and where they come from. We use this information to improve performance and user experience. Data is collected in aggregated, pseudonymised form where possible.
Yes — only placed with your consent.
Social media / functionality
Enable features that allow you to connect your Syncro account with third-party social media services (such as Facebook or Apple ID), and to share content between platforms. In some cases, the feature you use may allow a third party to place cookies on your device directly.
Yes — only placed with your consent.
Advertising
Placed by us or our advertising partners. They help build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertisements on the App, Website, or other websites you visit. They also help avoid showing the same ad repeatedly and measure campaign effectiveness.
Yes — only placed with your consent.
Performance / marketing
Help us and our marketing partners understand which of our advertisements on third-party apps and websites lead users to download the App or register for Syncro. They help us optimise our marketing spend and improve campaign effectiveness.
Yes — only placed with your consent.

3. How long do cookies last?

Cookies fall into two categories based on how long they remain on your device:

  • Session cookies — temporary, automatically deleted when you close your browser or end your app session.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device after your session ends, for a defined period. They remember your preferences and settings across visits, keep you logged in, and support security and anti-fraud measures.

For a full list of the specific cookies we use, including their exact lifespan and any third parties involved, please visit the "Manage Cookies" panel on our Website or the Privacy Settings section in the App (Settings › Security & Privacy › Privacy Settings).

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies on our App and Website are placed by third-party service providers that process data on our behalf or for their own purposes (where you have consented). These may include:

Third party
Purpose
Google Analytics
Collects aggregated usage data to help us understand how users interact with our Website and App. Data is pseudonymised where possible.
Facebook / Meta
Advertising measurement, custom audiences and lookalike audiences. Used only with your consent and subject to Facebook's own privacy policy.
Apple (Sign in with Apple)
Enables account registration and login via Apple ID.
Social media platforms
Enable content sharing and social login functionality where you have chosen to link your Syncro account to a social media account.
Advertising partners
Serve targeted advertisements and measure their effectiveness, subject to your consent.
Analytics & crash reporting
Monitor App performance and detect technical errors.

A full, up-to-date list of third-party cookie providers, including links to their privacy policies and the lifespan of their cookies, is available in the "Manage Cookies" panel on our Website.

5. How to manage or withdraw your consent

You are in control of your cookie preferences. You can give, refuse or withdraw consent at any time using the following methods.

5.1 In the Syncro App

Go to Settings › Security & Privacy › Privacy Settings. From there you can adjust your preferences for analytics, advertising and performance cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the App to function.

5.2 On the Syncro Website

Click the "Manage Cookies" link at the bottom of any page on our Website to open the cookie preference panel, where you can accept or decline each category of non-essential cookie.

5.3 Through your browser

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • view and delete existing cookies;
  • block cookies from specific websites;
  • block all third-party cookies; or
  • block all cookies (note: this may prevent some parts of the App or Website from working correctly).

Browser-specific guidance is available at:

5.4 Opting out of interest-based advertising

You can opt out of interest-based advertising delivered by participating companies through the Your Online Choices tool at www.youronlinechoices.eu, or through your device's advertising settings (iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising; Android: Settings › Google › Ads).

Please note

If you choose to refuse or withdraw consent to non-essential cookies, some features of the App or Website may not function correctly or may be unavailable. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before withdrawal.

6. Legal basis for cookie-related processing

Processing of personal data collected via cookies is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive), as implemented in Polish law by the Telecommunications Law (Prawo telekomunikacyjne).

The legal basis for each category of cookie-related processing is as follows:
